A complete example: a customer needs a new battery for their Robot Trolley.
The customer knows the model is an RT1500, so we can immediately rule out the RT2500, RT4500 and RT5500RS.
The nameplate is located under the robot and shows the model and serial number. This unit is an RT1500 with serial number G3-4-405588.
G3 tells us the robot's generation. The number that follows (here: 4) is the version number. A generation change usually corresponds to a major change, while version numbers are usually only used internally for production. Also remember to check the region (EU, AUS, NZ or US).
Once the model and generation are determined, there are three possible batteries for the RT1500: A) Robot Trolley Battery RT1500 Narrow, for G1, EU/AUS/NZ. B) Robot Trolley Battery RT1500, for G2-G4, EU/AUS/NZ/US. C) Robot Trolley Quick Swap Battery RT1500 G5, EU/AUS/NZ/US.
Since this robot is a G3, battery B is the right fit. A and C do not fit this unit.
